Google Unveils Refreshing “Mint” Color Variant for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

In a bid to infuse a breath of fresh air into its Pixel lineup, Google has officially launched a new Mint color variant for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The announcement, which followed a week of anticipation and teasers, revealed the serene hue exclusively available through the Google online store and Google Fi in the US. According to Jenny Davis, CMF design manager at Google, Mint is described as “a cool spring breeze” that brings a sense of calmness, yet remains vibrant and energizing.

This new Mint color joins the existing palette for the Pixel 8, which includes Rose, Obsidian, and Hazel, while the Pixel 8 Pro offers Porcelain, Obsidian, and Bay options. The specifications of both models remain unchanged from their initial introduction last October, emphasizing that the innovation lies solely in the introduction of this refreshing Mint color. Renowned street artist Ricardo Gonzalez, also known as @itsaliving, collaborated with Google for the color reveal and creatively transformed a Google Pixel billboard in New York City with the Mint shade.

As a special promotion, customers who purchase the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro in Mint before February 3 at 11:59 pm PT will receive a complimentary case matching the new color. This limited-time offer adds an extra incentive for users to embrace the calming aesthetic of Mint for their Pixel devices.

In summary, Google’s introduction of the Google Pixel 8 Mint color variant aims to provide users with a visually appealing and calming option for their Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. The strategic collaboration with a street artist adds a touch of creativity to the unveiling, while the exclusive promotion sweetens the deal for those looking to make a purchase within the specified timeframe.
