OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V Set for January 8 Launch With Huge 9000mAh Batteries and Fresh Design
OnePlus Turbo 6 launch confirmed for January 8
The OnePlus Turbo 6 launch is now official for January 8, 2026 in China, where the company has shared first looks at the design and key features of both OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V ahead of the big reveal. The lineup aims to balance strong performance with long battery life in a competitive mid-range bracket.
Straightforward design with square camera block
Both OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V share a clean, modern look that echoes current OnePlus styling with flat sides and a square camera island on the back. Initial teasers show the phones in multiple colours, with the Turbo 6 offered in black, silver, and turquoise, and the Turbo 6V in black and silver.

Big batteries and tough build
A headline feature of the OnePlus Turbo 6 series is its massive 9000mAh battery, which should deliver days of use on a single charge. Charging support includes 80W wired charging and even 27W reverse wired charging on the Turbo 6. Both phones also appear to carry high dust and water resistance ratings, including IP68 and related protections.

Displays and performance
Specs look solid across the board:
- OnePlus Turbo 6 gets a 1.5K resolution display with 165Hz refresh rate and is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
- OnePlus Turbo 6V may have a slightly lower 144Hz refresh rate display and use a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor instead.
These choices suggest OnePlus plans a clear performance gap between the two models while keeping core features like AMOLED screens and big batteries.
Cameras and software
Both phones should share a similar camera setup with a 50MP main lens backed by an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. An optical in-display fingerprint sensor will handle security. They are expected to run Android 16 out of the box.
What to expect at launch
OnePlus is hosting the official reveal event on January 8 in China, where full specs, pricing, and availability details will be announced. There’s early talk that the Turbo 6 series may reach other markets later, potentially under regional names, but that has yet to be confirmed.
