In a significant shift for its upcoming flagship smartphones, Samsung is rumored to be veering away from its own camera sensors and opting for Sony sensors in the Galaxy S25 and S25+. Renowned tipster @Tech_Reve, known for accurate Samsung-related predictions, has hinted at this strategic move. While specific details about the Sony sensor remain undisclosed, this departure from the Samsung ISOCELL GN5 50MP sensor, featured in the Galaxy S22 and S22+, and the GN3 sensor in the Galaxy S23 and S23+, marks a notable development in Samsung’s camera technology strategy.

The Galaxy S24 and S24+ are expected to continue with the 50MP GN3 sensor, but the shift to Sony sensors with the Galaxy S25 series suggests a potential enhancement in camera performance. Samsung’s current 50MP sensors have already set a high standard, and the incorporation of Sony’s technology indicates a commitment to further advancements.

Rumors are also swirling around the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is speculated to boast a groundbreaking 200MP 1-inch ISOCELL sensor.
