Samsung is officially bringing back the mid-cycle x.5 update with the upcoming One UI 8.5 update, expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. Unlike previous years, Samsung is skipping One UI 8.1 and 8.1.1, going straight to One UI 8.5, based on Android 16.
