Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to Exclusively Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset

In a recent report from Korean outlet The Elec, it has been revealed that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be equipped exclusively with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, irrespective of the region it is released in.

The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, however, will offer a choice between the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors. Customers in South Korea and Europe will have the Exynos-powered variants, while those in North America will once again experience the Snapdragon, a pattern familiar to Samsung enthusiasts.

This strategic move by Samsung is expected to generate discussions among fans, though perhaps not as polarizing as before, considering that previous Galaxy S models were exclusively powered by either Exynos or Snapdragon depending on the region.

Rumors surrounding the Exynos 2400 suggest that it utilizes Samsung’s cutting-edge 4nm LPP+ process. Samsung is touting this new chip to deliver nearly twice the CPU performance compared to the Exynos 2200 and an impressive 15-fold increase in AI performance.

On the other hand, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be manufactured using TSMC’s latest node technology. While some reports indicate that it may be available in both 3nm and 4nm versions, the exact details will only be revealed by the end of this month.

Samsung’s decision to go all-in with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra showcases their commitment to delivering top-tier performance and user experience. As the smartphone industry continues to evolve, enthusiasts and tech aficionados eagerly await the official release to see how these powerful processors will elevate the performance of Samsung’s flagship devices. Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series as they unfold.
