Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ and Ultra Launched with Powerful Kirin 9020 Chipset
Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ and Ultra Feature Kirin 9020 Chipset for a Major Performance Leap
Huawei has officially launched the Pura 80 series, and the spotlight is on the Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ and Ultra, both powered by the newly upgraded Kirin 9020 chipset. According to the brand, this latest chip offers up to 36% faster performance than its predecessor in the Pura 70 series, even though Huawei didn’t name the chipset during the announcement.
Tech insiders from Weibo have confirmed that both the Pura 80 Pro+ and the premium Ultra model run on the same Kirin 9020, which was first introduced in the Mate 70 series. The advanced in-house chip by HiSilicon features three CPU clusters: one high-performance Taishan core at 2.5GHz, three mid-range cores at 2.15GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.6GHz. It also includes a Maleoon 920 GPU clocked at 840MHz, delivering a well-balanced performance and graphics boost.
As for the standard Pura 80 and Pura 80 Pro, they are equipped with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage, though reports suggest the base model might house a Kirin 9020A—a slightly down-clocked version with CPU speeds of 2.4GHz, 2.0GHz, and 1.6GHz.
The Pura 80 Pro+ and Ultra models step things up with 16GB RAM and either 512GB or 1TB internal storage, all running on the latest HarmonyOS 5.1, ensuring a fluid and smart user experience.
