In a recent product launch event, Oppo introduced the highly anticipated Reno11 smartphones, stealing the spotlight with an additional surprise – the Oppo Pad Air2. Notably, the Pad Air2 boasts an expansive display and a robust battery, catering to tech enthusiasts on a budget. Interestingly, it’s worth noting that this tablet is essentially a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad Go, tailored for the Chinese market.
The Pad Air2 features a sizable 11.4-inch LCD display with a 7:5 aspect ratio, offering an immersive visual experience. The impressive 2408 x 1720 pixel resolution and a 10-bit panel capable of refreshing at up to 90 Hz promise crisp visuals and smooth interactions. While Oppo didn’t divulge the complete specifications during the launch, it is evident that this tablet represents a significant upgrade from its predecessor.
One standout feature of the Oppo Pad Air2 is its mammoth 8,000 mAh battery, complemented by 33W fast charging capabilities. This combination ensures prolonged usage without the hassle of frequent recharging, a key consideration for users constantly on the go.
Targeted at a younger audience, the Pad Air2 runs on Oppo’s ColorOS for Pad, offering a user-friendly experience with features like a customizable taskbar, smart file galleries, and intuitive multi-finger gestures. This Wi-Fi-only tablet is designed to seamlessly integrate into the daily lives of its users.
Enhancing the multimedia experience, Oppo has equipped the Pad Air2 with Dolby Atmos sound and four speakers boasting an 86 dB loudness, promising an immersive audio experience for entertainment and productivity alike.
The Oppo Pad Air2 is set to hit the market on November 25, with pre-orders currently available at three price points: CNY 1,299 ($180/€165) for 6/128 GB, CNY 1,499 ($210/€190) for 8/128 GB, and CNY 1,699 ($240/€220) for 8/256 GB.
