Realme GT5 Pro Teaser Reveals Striking Design and Cutting-Edge Display Technology

Realme enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new flagship, the Realme GT5 Pro, set to be unveiled on December 7. As the launch date approaches, Realme is generating excitement with a teaser video showcasing the device’s innovative design and display features.

In the teaser, the most notable change is the circular camera bump, a departure from the wide, rectangular setup on the GT5. This circular island, constructed from durable stainless steel and surrounded by vegan leather, houses a powerful camera system. Among the cameras is a 50MP periscope equipped with a Sony IMX890 sensor, boasting impressive 3x optical and 6x lossless zoom capabilities.

Turning our attention to the front, Realme provides a comprehensive overview of the GT5 Pro’s display. The device will feature an 8T LTPO panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and “1.5K” resolution, likely matching the GT5’s 1,240 x 2,772px. The display reaches a peak local brightness of 4,500 nits and a peak global brightness of 1,600 nits. Notably, users can adjust brightness levels with precision using DC dimming and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, offering a remarkable 20,000 brightness levels. The display’s touch sampling frequency of 2,160Hz ensures a responsive and seamless user experience.

Despite the curved nature of the display, the gentle curve remains subtle, enhancing the overall aesthetics without compromising usability. According to information from TENAA, the display size is expected to be around 6.78 inches. Powering the Realme GT5 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a significant upgrade from the Gen 2 processor found in its predecessor.

A noteworthy leak from a Chinese retailer suggests a starting price of CNY 3,500 for the Realme GT5 Pro base model. This translates to approximately $500/€450/₹42,000, though local taxes may apply. In comparison, the base model of the regular GT5 was priced at CNY 3,000. Realme China’s CMO, Xu Qi Chase, has confirmed that the base configuration for the GT5 Pro will match its predecessor at 12/256GB.

As anticipation builds, the Realme GT5 Pro promises to be a formidable addition to the smartphone market, offering a blend of cutting-edge technology and an aesthetically pleasing design.
