Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launch campaign kicks off ahead of expected February Unpacked event

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launch campaign officially begins

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launch campaign has officially started, signaling that Samsung is preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphone very soon. According to recent campaign activity and industry reports, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to debut at a Galaxy Unpacked event in February 2026, continuing Samsung’s early year launch tradition.

Early promotional moves suggest Samsung is entering the final stretch before announcement, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra positioned as the brand’s most powerful and feature packed smartphone to date.

Premium design with titanium build and larger AMOLED display

Samsung appears to be refining the Ultra design rather than reinventing it. The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a flat titanium frame with Gorilla Glass Armor 2 protection on the front and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back. The phone measures 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs 214 grams, keeping it slim despite premium materials.

The display is a 6.9 inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of up to 2600 nits. Samsung also includes an anti reflective DX coating, improving outdoor visibility.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powers the flagship experience

At the core of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. The processor uses Oryon V3 Phoenix cores, with two high performance cores clocked at 4.6GHz and six efficiency cores at 3.62GHz.

Paired with the Adreno 840 GPU and up to 16GB of RAM, the device is designed to handle demanding gaming, AI tasks, and long term software support. Samsung confirms Android 16 out of the box with One UI 8.5 and up to seven major Android upgrades.

Quad camera system focuses on zoom and detail

Samsung continues its camera centric approach with a versatile quad camera setup. The 200MP primary sensor returns with optical image stabilization and improved autofocus, supported by two telephoto lenses and a high resolution ultrawide camera.

Rear camera setup

Video recording supports up to 8K at 30fps, along with 4K recording at up to 120fps and advanced HDR10+ capture.

The 12MP front camera supports 4K video and dual pixel autofocus for sharper selfies and video calls.

Battery, charging, and connectivity upgrades

Despite its slim profile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra includes a 5000mAh battery. Samsung boosts wired charging to 60W, reaching up to 75 percent in around 30 minutes. Wireless charging supports Qi2.2 at 25W, with reverse wireless charging also included.

Connectivity options cover Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Ultra Wideband support, and full global 5G compatibility including Sub6 and mmWave in select markets.

Expected release and availability

While Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch date, the active marketing campaign strongly points to a February 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to go on sale shortly after the announcement, with multiple storage and regional variants planned.
